Built in 2008, the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations offers an exceptional concept inspired by First Nations culture and its relationship with the world—nature, spirituality, and mythology. This boutique hotel features 79 rooms, including 4 luxury suites, as well as several reception halls that can accommodate over 200 guests. It is the ideal place to host weddings, conferences, and special events in a natural setting with authentic character. Seven of Quebec’s eleven First Nations are represented among the staff. The Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations is 100% owned by First Nations.

In addition to offering 4-star service, guests can savor boreal cuisine at its restaurant, La Traite, which showcases a menu inspired by hunting, fishing, and foraging. Its Wendat Chef, Anora Lia Collier, invites you to experience a gastronomic journey filled with unique textures and flavors.

The hotel is also home to the Huron-Wendat Museum, which presents Wendat culture through its permanent exhibition Wendat Endi’, We the Wendat. Visitors can also discover the cultures of other nations through temporary exhibits or learn more about Wendat traditions in the traditional longhouse, Ekionkiestha.

The Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations recently completed a major renovation project of over 14 million dollars, including the construction of a new wing, the creation of 24 additional rooms and suites, the modernization of the three-story glass atrium overlooking the Akiawenrahk River, new meeting rooms, refreshed outdoor landscaping, and upgrades to the restaurant La Traite. The rooms and suites also feature new décor and furnishings that reflect both elegance and tradition.

A visit to the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations is a journey of discovery, an unparalleled experience in an inspiring environment where the history and modernity of the First Nations come together. It is a refined, authentic, gastronomic, and immersive escape in the heart of an ancestral Indigenous territory rich in cultural traditions, creating a timeless union between the roots of the past and the allure of the present.

At the heart of the Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations, you will be spoiled for choice among a selection of enchanting spaces for your special event.

  • The terrace of the Huron-Wendat Museum offers a beautiful natural setting, bordered by the forest and a small body of water along the river. This space is perfect for cocktails or ceremonies, providing a peaceful and immersive atmosphere.
  • The restaurant La Traite also features a picturesque terrace, nestled near the forest and the river. This charming location is ideal for hosting your ceremony, adding a touch of nature to your special day.
  • For unique photos, we recommend the longhouse palisades. This outdoor area offers an authentic and original backdrop, capturing the very essence of First Nations history and culture.
  • If you prefer an indoor option with a panoramic view, the foyer of the event rooms, located on the second floor of the Hôtel-Musée, is fully windowed. It is an ideal place to hold your cocktail or ceremony while enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings.
  • If you wish to use the Akiawenrahk’ River as a natural backdrop for your photos, its riverbanks provide an enchanting setting.
  • Finally, for your wedding reception, the ballroom (Wendake Room) can accommodate up to 150 guests with a round-table layout. You will also have the freedom to add a personal touch by hiring the decorator of your choice.

Whatever your preference, these unique spaces promise a memorable experience as you celebrate your special event surrounded by the culture and history of the First Nations.
